I’m trying to get back in the habit of taking walks again. I’m not sure how I broke that habit, but it’s a pretty good thing for me. It’s good exercise, clears my mind, and tends to reset any downward spirals picking up momentum in my head.
I also get to connect with the sights and sounds on and around my block.
There’s a really cool bus that the folks at Out Cold Marketing park right on Chicago Avenue.
It looks like it’s a 1950s GMC coach that was built to offer competitors of Greyhound an alternate bus platform. Cool as hell. I drew it without the Out Cold Marketing graphics and sunshade, because I think it looks cleaner that way, but I give those Out Cold cats kudos for spiffing up old vehicles and using them as marketing promotions. If I get some good views of the rest of their fleet, I’ll document them here.
I also saw a good tangle:
And, because I couldn’t avoid him, Eyepatch Wolf cornered me to talk about indie rock for like 15 minutes 😑
To make things even worse, I got jumped by a cat gang, when I was trying to make a shortcut through Dog Patch.
They ran away with my shoelaces 🙁
Stay safe out there, and have a good week!
